Born and raised in Canada by Danes, I now live in Ealing, West London. As a result, I am overly polite and have a deep need for furniture that is both stylish and practical.

In the face of sweets or baked goods I have NO self-control. I once ate a whole box of chewy chips ahoy in a single sitting (I regret nothing!)

In summer it is impossible to keep my children in clothes past 4pm. Our youngest has been referred to as ‘the naked neighbour’.

I’m a HUGE Harry Potter nerd. I have read the books in three different languages.

I’m completely tone deaf (as a kid I was asked to leave the school choir) but that doesn't stop me from belting it out at full volume when I’m home alone.

Why do I photograph family life?

Let’s face it, there’s only a very brief moment in time when it’s socially acceptable run around the garden in only a cape and underpants screaming “I’m a fairy pirate!!!”

In whatever form it comes, this is the spirit I capture. There is a unique beauty that exists in your everyday.

As parents we all feel pressure to provide the perfect childhood, to do everything ‘right’. The problem? family life and kids aren’t meant to be perfect. We (parents and children) are meant to make mistakes, try out new things, fall on our faces, dust ourselves off and try again. In essence, to be perfectly imperfect.

Looking back in years to come, I want you to have a reminder of what your family was like, not just what they looked like.

Let's find your weird, wonderful and wild.
